Born in 1993. Phoenix Che grew up in Alhambra, California since she was 5 years old. Prior to that, she roams freely in a small village in the southeast of Vietnam. Che did not grow up with artistic influences - as the art profession is condemned in the household. She, too, questioned what art really is. Thereby, Che resonates with Clement Greenberg's idea of modernism the most. If a picture can be taken to perfection, why paint it? Che's paintings of abstraction today pertain to imperfection, mood, scattered, pre-meditative, and spontaneity.
